While I love spending time at the beach during the warmer months, there is something about exploring the river during the winter. Today the sand was covered with snow, the edge of the river was frozen, and the river was low enough to allow us to walk upstream a bit further. The boys passed the time breaking the ice with large sticks. They said they were "icebergers who chop up the ice for the men." We also visited the tree swing we discovered last weekend, and Will practiced "ice skating."
