In the Garden

The boys and I cleaned up the yard and garden a bit this weekend. We dumped a bag of soil into one of the raised beds.

Will and I moved the old edgers from the front yard to the pathway through the boys' "Secret Laboratory" within the forsythia.

Quinn granted permission to fill his old rubber rain boots with soil to make planters. I love these boots! They are sitting on a bench my Dad made many years ago for my brother. It has been outside for quite a few years now, and looks rather primitive. We will need to find some colorful full sun plants to fill the boots.

  • The yellow crocus have bloomed.
  • The purple crocus are blooming.
  • The daffodils are blooming.
  • The forsythia is budding and beginning to get that yellow appearance.
  • The daylilies are poking out of the ground.
