A New Rhythm

Tomorrow Grandma will come home, and no longer will we be "living" between the hospital and home. No longer will we pass time in her room building Legos, coloring with Color Wonder, observing the geese and traffic out the window, playing "Hide the Boot," watching PBS Kids, or enjoying special treats from the nurses. No longer will we attend her therapy sessions learning the safe way to get in and out of a chair or bed, nor will we walk the halls with her slow and steady. And while we are super excited to have her home once again and return to some sense of normalcy, there is a bit of anxiety. We have been apart for 3 weeks, and things have changed. I look forward to a smooth transition, and hope we quickly settle into our new rhythm.
