The blueberries are ready for picking at Wind Ridge Farm, so we headed out to gather some summer goodness. The boys started strong picking berries and filling their buckets.
At some point Will and Quinn realized that it is more enjoyable (and tasty!) to eat the berries than pick the berries, so I was left to fill the buckets. I quickly learned that two growing boys can eat berries faster than I can pick berries. Seeing as blueberries do not last very long around here, I was really hoping to gather 2 buckets or about 6 pounds total. I decided my efforts were near futile, so I surrendered after filling one bucket. Will has asked to pick again. Perhaps this time there will be more picking and less eating. One can dream, right?
