The Meramec River is still flooded leaving the boys without their beloved "sandbox." In the meantime we are finding ourselves spending more time in the creek. While the boys still explore the waters in search of aquatic animals, they are discovering new creek activities and revisiting old creek pastimes.
Will brought his Little People boat filled with bunnies and mice. The boys took turns launching the boat in the creek. A few times a bunny or a mouse fell overboard, but thankfully everyone was recovered.
The boys spent a significant amount of time building a dam across the creek. While it could have used a bit of reinforcement to fill in the gaps, it did change the course of the water.
