Down on the Pumpkin Farm

Despite chilly temperatures and soggy conditions, we bundled up and headed out to Pumpkinland at Thies Farms with our friends. Thies is by far my favorite local pumpkin farm because it is good simple farm fun for a reasonable price.

The boys enjoyed the tour of the farm on the hayride. Even more so, they were impressed with all of the mud and mud puddles! Will loved that the tractor tires were caked with mud. As we rode along, you could hear the squelch of the mud under the tires. When we hit areas of thick wet mud, then it would fly off the tires. Will was literally in hog heaven!

The ruts in the mud left by the tractor were at least 6" deep.

Inside Pumpkinland, slides, stacked hay bales, ride-on tractors, mazes, swings, spinning tractor tires, and much more awaited the boys and their friends.

Quinn awaiting his push at the top of the slide.

Will scales the wall before heading down the newly added slide.

Quinn rides across the zip line.

Will glides through the air on a horse tire swing.

Pumpkinland is always a good time. And now that the boys are brave, we must remember our flashlights next time, so the boys can navigate their way to the top of the Tower of Terror.
