Cat-Like Reflexes

Usually soccer practice consists of skill drills followed by a scrimmage, but today the entire time was devoted to one-on-one games. Will was paired with Johnny, and at first the game was a bit slow. Each boy seemed a bit overwhelmed with playing both offense and defense, and they often backed away from the ball once they came near the opponent. When Will and Johnny stopped for a drink, JJ and Uncle Brian went onto the field for a quick game of one-on-one. The game was lively and the "boys" were rather assertive. Will and Johnny were watching this game, and when they returned to the field the pace of their game changed. They were dribbling a bit faster, and no longer did they back off from the opponent. In fact, we noticed that Will was now running toward the ball and then pouncing. Johnny was unsure of how to react to this unusual move, but JJ joked that from now on Will shall be called "The Cat."

Will's opponent is not sure what to make of Will's approach toward the ball.
